LISA v Personal Pension

Post by Mearns & Company in News

Should you use the new LISA or a Personal Pension to fund for retirement?

In the spring Budget, the Government introduced the concept of the Lifetime ISA (LISA) – which is due to be launched in April 2017. From then, you may be able to invest in both, or either, of these products depending on your circumstances.

The table below gives a comparison of the difference between these products based on current information.

This comparison is based on the documents available from the Budget and are currently under debate between HM Treasury, HMRC and the industry; the information is likely to change. To find out which option is best for you or if you would like more information on the Lifetime ISA, please contact us.
